Weigh the Evidence
Weigh the Evidence labs are guided document analysis activities where students rate evidence based on how reliable it is and how strongly it supports a historical claim. Students act as analysts answers high interest questions like "Was Robin Hood a real person from history?" and learn to separate their preconceived notions from conclusions based on evidence. These labs work best when completed as a class. You present the exhibits, students analyze them individually, then discuss each as a class before moving on. They could be completed independently or in small groups. You can read more detailed information about how to set up and run these labs here.
This landing page is a work in progress. Until these links are all up, individual WTE labs can be found in their respective unit pages.
